Lessons on the farm

Ok, this has nothing to do with Christmas trees but I think its a great picture and story. The horse was a rescue. I got tired of seeing him with hip bones showing on a cold hillside. The vet checked the horse and gave me some meds for a skin condition. I would apply the meds each morning at feeding time. One morning I looked down and saw a little rabbit hop up and start eating the grain. I remained very still to see what would happen. The horse didn't mind at all. Sometimes they would be nose to nose. With all the horse had been through, no one would fault him for being selfish with his food but he seemed to enjoy the company. Every morning they met for breakfast. There was something very spiritual about what I was witnessing. Jesus taught that we should love our neighbor as much as we love ourself. I'm thankful I got to witness this illustration of truth.

  1. Sandy- this is just so dear! We can all learn a lesson from these two- God wants us all to live together and get along as brothers and sisters in Christ! Thanks for sharing this and for taking in this sweet horse- he is truly blessed- as are you!
